It ain't bad, probably, but even with USB3.0, don't expect miracles from the thing.
It's also kind of expensive, but I guess all external drives are in that price range -.-

I can't find what core drive it has in there, though. Ratings seem to be okay.

Yea, sure, if an external drive is what you need, this will probably serve you nicely. However, don't expect more than a 5.4k rpm, and the ever-shitty USB interfacing.

Trust me, copying a terabyte of data will make you think about speed Smile

Anyway, if it's a storage/backup drive, yea sure, why not. I used to have a 3.5"" 500gb Seagate drive but that damn thing went nuts after many illegal spindowns(power cuts etc). First to go was the USB interface, followed shortly by the drive itself.
It also had an annoying habit of spinning itself down on lack of activity and then being unable to spin back up later. I ended up writing a small bash script which'd switch the connected computer's power profile to not spin the drives down as long as this thing is connected, just to bypass that. I'm not sure if it was broken then already or is that just bad design.

This of course has nothing to do with your device. They're not even in the same class.
I don't know, I don't see anything painfully wrong with it, so I guess it's as good as choice as any in that price range. Go for it and tell us your experience, I guess.

Peace out,
-Deluded

Atina, try to refrain from all sorts of backup systems like that. They're usually fucking traps.
Also, flash memory is still flash memory. You get worse performance for a larger price. Not to mention the data degradation.

Just buy the drive you initially linked, if you can get a good price on it. It's worth 60eur maximum, anything over that and you're gonna be better off waiting for a sale.

As for Paps, just today, I was scrolling through some random hits on a Russian dating site, and POW, CP in the comments. Just like that. The mind surely boggles how shit like that is possible, but it happened. And we all saw it happen.
